Because this market operates in multiple time zones and can be accessed at almost any time. It is becoming more popular as a way for traders to “make their fortune” because you can make a large amount of money with a small amount of investment due to the large amount of leveraging possible. It is only true in the business week, but from Monday morning (or Sunday evening in many time zones) through Friday afternoon it is open nonstop and participants can trade at any time. It is because the Forex Market is not fixed in any place and it includes all of the world currencies and trading is possible during business hours.

As you all know that the international date lines run down the Pacific Ocean, with Asia and Australia on one side and the American continent on the other. New Zealand is one of the first countries to begin the new day, with eastern Australia following. So when the Sydney opens for business at 8 am on Monday 7 morning, then it is 5 pm Sunday in New York and 2 pm Sunday in California. There can be lots of difference because of different time setting in the summer. If you stay in the Western states of the USA then you can start your trading week right after Sunday lunch.

During the weekends, the last major market to close in the Forex World is New York at 4pm. The two most active trading floors overall the world is New York and London. So when you find the busiest time for currency trading, then both of these two are open. They overlap for just three hours a day. One morning in the New York (8 am to 11 am) and in London it is the afternoon (1 pm to 4 pm).
